He moved to the US in 2008 with his wife Teba, who’s also a dentist, seeking personal freedom and safety with hope for a brighter future for them and their kids. They have lived in Michigan since 2011. He is a member of American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Washtenaw District Dental Society.

He and his wife have two sons (Hasan and Mustafa). In his free time, he enjoys traveling and playing sports with his boys.
